The New York City Interfaith Hunger Summit will bring together a diverse cross-section of faith leaders, congregants, and concerned New Yorkers who are concerned with and/or work to combat poverty and hunger throughout New York City to discuss ways in which we can all take action to lessen hunger and poverty in our community.
In addition to creating greater awareness of the cty’s hunger and poverty crises, the summit will seek to promote concrete solutions by having participating leaders issue a “Call to Action” which asks elected officials to create jobs and reduce poverty, strengthen the social safety net, and make healthier food more available and affordable in low-income neighborhoods.
