The New York City Coalition Against Hunger informs New Yorkers about hunger issues through the news media, the Internet, newsletters, and other creative ways of message delivery. The release of the Coalition's annual survey of hunger in New York City - the most comprehensive of its kind - attracts a great deal of media attention every November. The goal of the Communications Initiative is not media exposure for its own sake, but rather to draw public attention and debate to the critical problem of hunger. Public awareness of hunger is the first step for many people en route to civic action, charitable giving, and consciousness of hunger issues in the voting booth.
Contact Michelle Friedman at 212-825-0028 ext. 212 or firstname.lastname@example.org for all media issues. To browse recent news coverage generated by the Coalition's efforts, click here.
