Last night the NY State Senate passed S6291, which eliminates the requirement that food stamp applicants be finger imaged to receive their benefits.

A1681 is the same Assembly version of that bill, but it hasn’t passed through the State Assembly and we are running out of time. We need you to call your assembly member at their Albany office in support of A1681 and urge them to move the bill out of the Ways and Means Committee and onto the floor IMMEDIATELY. Read more.
