Once every five years Congress revises the Child Nutrition Act, which determines funding for all school meals and after school snacks. For some children, the meal they eat at school is the only meal they get throughout the day. With your help, we can ensure that the meals our children eat are healthy and tasty.

Act Now to Support the Economic Recovery Bill!
Yesterday, the Obama administration proposed an Economic Recovery Bill (http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/RecoveryBill01-15-09.pdf) that responds to the cries for a “Bailout for the Rest of Us.” The bill includes the largest investment in new nutrition assistance funding in decades, including critical funding such as $200 Billion for SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) and $750 Million for After-school Meals. ...read more
